About us

We are a team of foodies with wide food industry experience, a broad range of influential media contacts and strong relationships with food writers, features editors, Influencers, journalists and digital content creators across all media channels.

Christopher Price started Food Marketing in 2004, as he realised there was no PR, social or digital advertising agency specialising in the food sector.

For the last nineteen years, our team has worked with small to multinational food companies providing specialist services across both retail and foodservice sectors. Our team has a strong understanding of digital and social media trends, original content creation, cost-efficient use of traditional media and established relationships with many Influencers, across multiple areas of interest (we have two hundred Influencers on our contact list).

Our in-house team combines different strengths and complementary backgrounds to deliver the best services and solutions to our clients. To complement our in-house team, we count on great collaborators to cater to specific projects including design, branding, website development, hosting, photography and food styling.

Director

Christopher has 30 years’ experience in advertising, sales, marketing, and public relations roles. A graduate of AUT Graphic Design School, Christopher started out in design, progressing into account management, product management and strategic corporate marketing roles, later retraining in broadcasting, writing and public relations skills.

 
 
 

Katie Thompson

Public Relations & Social Media Advisor

Katie, with a background in marketing and social media, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and marketing from the University of Otago. Katie is well-equipped to excel in the food marketing team, leveraging her expertise in customer service and communication strategies. Additionally, as an avid social media follower and passionate foodie who thrives in the kitchen, Katie brings a unique perspective and enthusiasm for culinary trends to the table. Her keen eye for social media trends can help drive innovative marketing campaigns and engage with a diverse audience across various platforms.

Administration Manager

Victoria is office manager and responsible for accounts and company reporting. Having grown up with a mother with a home science degree, Victoria has a strong interest in food and nutrition and is a keen cook and foodie.

Dean is the creative behind our advertising content. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of clients' needs, he crafts design solutions that truly stand out. Our collaborative creative approach results in advertising that has a unique 'cut-through' effect, grabbing attention and leaving a lasting impression.
